About

Ben Hirschfield is a theatrical scenic and projection designer who is a third year undergraduate scene design student at The University of North Carolina School of the Arts. He graduated from Horace Greeley High School in June 2021 and completed Carnegie Mellon University's Pre-College Drama Design and Production program in Summer 2019.

While his main focus is in scenic design, he also has experience as a projection designer, scenic carpenter, scenic artist/painter, and props artisan; as well as in visual arts.

With over a decade of experience in the theater, his passion for storytelling drives him to create new and bold designs that set the stage for the complex journey in which each production takes place. His time at UNCSA thus far has helped him greatly develop and refine his design skills and he looks forward to taking his designs to the stage.
